Festival Style with MSTR of DISGUISE

With festival season approaching, we knew we had to catch up with Ann-Marie of MSTR of DISGUISE so we could get a little advice on what to wear. We love her for her unique style and the fact that she is down for any adventure. On one of the hottest days we've had in LA, we headed to a secret succulent and cactus garden to shoot some festival themed outfits. Ann-Marie picked out her favorite FL&L styles that she would wear to a festival, styled with her signature accessories. Check out the interview and photos below!

Festival season is amongst us. What's the best style tip to beat the heat?

Cheers to festival season! I've recently come across these decorative Ghanian straw fans that I have benefited from this heat wave we've been having in LA. You can string some wooden beans through the handle so it is easier to carry around. Last but not least is a festive umbrella. Between your boyfriend fanning you, an umbrella and a tulle FL&L top--you are officially ready to take this festival life by the horns.

What's your must-have staple piece for our Spring 2015 collection?

As you can tell, I have a serious obsession with FL&L Tulle. It evens out my skin tone, easy to pair with, and incredibly breathable. Its hard to choose which piece is a must-have, because if it were up to me EVERYTHING is a must-have, but the question is very specific soooooooo…… I would have to go with the Orchid Crop Top. The wrap around front tie is what sold me. I love that extra layer of tulle to play around with. The tulle hugs my arms and actually makes it look like I have perfectly toned arms. It's a no brainer to dress up with a nude leather skirt or dress down with some khaki colored boyfriend jeans paired with some nude heels. Its perfect for this utopian California weather.

Will we be seeing you at any festivals this year?

"I added a white blazer for those chilly desert nights. You never know who will be taking your photo, so you might as well be the Chic Bohemian Goddess of the Desert"

"Black maxi lace dress is my ticket to a epic party. Its a clean canvas to be completely creative with. The lace detail allows air flow to your body while grooving. Take advantage of the barely there back detail with some metallic tattoos or a henna design. Load your neck with an array of jewelry. This dress has the potential for you to rock all your favorite pieces at once. Can't be belle of the ball without a crystal crown."

"Aside from the festival, pool parties are where you see some of the most stylist people in coachella valley. Throw on a light kimono to add festival vibes back into the equation. Add a snapback to throw EVERYONE off and add tribal jewelry to just confuse anyone else that thought they knew how to dress at a pool party. Alright….you're now set to be the talk of the town."
